CURRENT AFFAIRS OF  24th FEBRUARY, 2023

  1. Every year on 24 February, Central Excise Day is observed to recognise and honour the efforts and contributions made by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) towards the development of India. The day also marks anniversary of the enactment of the Central Excise and Salt Act on 24 February, 1944.
  2. On 21 February, also known as International Mother Language Day, the Kerala High Court published two of its most recent decisions in Malayalam, making it the first high court in the nation to do so.
  3. The first PM Gati Shakti Workshop for Western and Central Zone held in Goa on 20 February, 2023.
  4. Power Minister RK Singh launched South Asia Distribution Utility Network (SADUN) which aims to modernise distribution of utilities in South Asia via knowledge sharing among discoms.
  5. India will host the Permanent Mission Roundtables at United Nations Headquarter as Chair of G-20.
